PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Management Division would like to announce the following Routes that are behind for trash collection for the week of AUGUST 27 – AUGUST 30, 2007 and the projected scheduled pick up dates:

Please be advised that ONLY Solid Waste Tipping Fee Customers who are:
1. to date with their account; and
2. resides in the areas mentioned;
may dispose their trash at the Transfer Station ( Agat, Dededo, Molojloj) (Open from Tues. – Sat. 9:00 am – 5:00pm) and at the Ordot Dump Facility (Open from Mon. –Sun. 7:00 – 3:00pm) for FREE on Friday August 31, 2007 until Friday, September 7, 2007.

Regular trash collection will resume on the week of September 3 -7, 2007.

Solid Waste Tipping Fee customers MUST present the following to the Solid Waste Facility Personnel prior to disposal of waste:

Proof of to-date-payments and proof of service area location and or;
Tipping Fee Invoices and up-to-date receipts and;
Account holder’s valid picture ID

A customer who does not present any of the above listed will be CHARGED THE REGULAR RATE of disposing waste at each respective facility.

Public Notice of Special Solid Waste Law Review Commission Meeting

The Solid Waste Law Review Commission will hold its weekly meeting at 9:30 am September 5, 2007. The agenda for the meeting will include a discussion drafting the legislative policy for the plans to close the Ordot Dump; the site to receive Guam’s Solid Waste; and the waste to energy facility contract currently in litigation. The meeting will be held at the Large Conference Room – Governor’s Complex.
